🖉 About Me

I am an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Engineering at ZJU-UIUC Institute. I am currently exploring my academic interests. At this stage, I am particularly curious about embodied intelligence, with a focus on Vision–Language Models (VLMs) and Vision–Language–Action (VLA) models.

Outside of research, I am passionate about science communication and content creation, especially in making complex scientific ideas accessible to a broader audience. I was also an Olympiad in Informatics (OI) participant for many years during high school, which taught me a lot about algorithms, persistence, and losing gracefully. 😅

🔬 Research Experience

Research and Reproduction of VLA Models Outstanding Project

Team Leader · Summer Research Project, ZJU-UIUC, 2025

  • Studied multiple recent VLA papers and partially reproduced open-source projects.
  • Led a team of three, delivering weekly study reports to the advisor (recorded and shared on Bilibili).
  • Awarded Outstanding Project by ZJU-UIUC Institute.

💻 Projects

GPT-2 CUDA Optimization  ECE408

ParallelSlackers Team · UIUC, 2024  ·  🏆 3rd place in class competition

Applied CUDA-based optimization techniques to the GPT-2 model, including Tensor Cores, FlashAttention, and reduction strategies. Profiled with NVIDIA Nsight Systems & Nsight Compute to hunt down bottlenecks. The team name was ironic — we worked very hard.

Custom RISC-V Operating System  ECE391

ThreadRipper Team · UIUC, 2024  ·  (Best team, obviously)

  • Built virtual memory management, a filesystem with caching, and VirtIO devices (viogpu) for running games in-OS.
  • Personally responsible for: ELF loader, system calls, process management, and shell interface.
  • Extended the shell with tab completion via trie and command history scrolling — going beyond requirements because why not.

The Little Boat on Yuehaitang  Dragon Boat

Sixth College Student Concrete Dragon Boat Race, Zhejiang University · 2025

  • Designed and implemented the electrical control system and wrote the technical reports.
  • Collaborated with four students to build and complete the boat project.
  • Awarded Second Prize and Best Essay Prize.  🏈
